Faye Smith-Hodgkinson is originally from Havelock, New Brunswick. She lives in Cranbrook, BC with her husband Jim and their four cats.

I have always loved reading and am never far from a book. I have dabbled in writing over the years, but nothing like this.
I dreamt the first book in the series, The Birth of Bloomfrost, over two consecutive nights. I couldn’t get it out of my mind, and started playing around with images and scenes about what would happen if a Snowflake Fairy and a Butterfly Boy fell in love. I soon had to write it all down, as it just would not leave me alone! The book, and the following books, just flowed from there. I hope you like meeting these characters as much as I have.
